The AI video studio, on a popcorn budget

Clean audio is act one. Next we shape the picture: captions, silence cuts, vertical reframes, titles. The goal is a full finish for about ₹9 a video — by doing as much as possible on your own device and paying for cloud AI only where it earns its keep.

Roadmap

  1. NowAudio studio: neural + hybrid cleanup, loudness, spectrogram, WAV/MP3/M4A, video re-mux.
  2. NextOn-device captions (in-browser Whisper), silence & filler trimming, SRT export.
  3. ThenAuto vertical reframe (9:16), music ducking, title & description drafts.
  4. LaterCloud add-ons: dubbing, translation, generative b-roll — priced per use, never forced.

Planned, not promised — the order may change as we learn what people actually need.

Questions

Good to know

Is my audio uploaded anywhere?

No. Decoding, noise removal, EQ, loudness and export all run in your browser tab. There is no server receiving your files. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and WAV export still works.

How does the neural engine work?

It uses RNNoise, a small recurrent neural network trained to tell speech from noise, running as WebAssembly. Unlike classic noise reduction you don't need to select a noise-only sample first.

Will it work on music or singing?

It's tuned for voice. For singing, use the Vocal scene (lower strength) so breaths and sustained notes survive. Instrument-heavy music can sound dull with the neural engine — try Classic with a low setting instead.

Can it remove everything?

No tool can. Noise that overlaps the voice (another person talking, loud music) is reduced, not erased. If the result sounds watery, lower the noise-reduction amount — a little noise sounds more natural than artifacts.

Why does MP3 / video export download something big?

Browsers can't encode MP3 or AAC natively. Those exports use ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly (~30 MB), downloaded once and cached. Video export copies your original picture untouched and only swaps the sound, so it's quick and lossless for the image.

How long a file can I use?

Up to 30 minutes and 1 GB per file, to keep phones and laptops from running out of memory. Cleaning runs much faster than real time on most devices.
